Our Vision
Sacramento should finish its bike trail in a way that improves connectivity while protecting neighborhood safety and security.
Actionable Policy:
- Complete the remaining bike trail gaps to create a continuous and safe route
- Respect and address safety concerns from nearby gated and residential communities
- Design trail segments with fencing, landscaping, and controlled access to protect private property
- Improve lighting, visibility, and sightlines near homes
- Limit and clearly define trail entry points
- Add patrols, cameras, or emergency call boxes where appropriate
- Work directly with residents, HOAs, and law enforcement before construction
- Deliver a trail that supports recreation and mobility without compromising public safety
